"Thank God for all I missed Cause it led me here to this."

Hey ya'll!

I decided it was time for a change.  I had stopped blogging for a while...school got chaotic and I honestly haven't had time to sit down and blog.  Although I'm still crazy busy, blogging is such a stress reliever and I enjoy doing it.  I just had to revamp and start the blog again.  I wish I could update it every day...but that is something to strive for.  So far, 2011 has been good to me. My second semester of my sophomore year is going well.  I am really enjoying my classes even though they keep me insanely busy.  I did decide to change my licensure to Birth-Kindergarten because I realized if I were to teach, preschool is totally for me.  I would want to teach nothing higher than Kindergarten...so K-6 wouldn't be applicable.  I have decided I'll probably end up and be a Child Life Specialist.  Children are my passion and I really want to work in a hospital setting.  I admire these people so much and just feel I'd enjoy going to work every day with this job.  However, I can totally see myself being a preschool teacher.  Luckily, when I graduate, I'll be on track to do either.
Enough about school.  What else exciting is happening?  Well, for starters, Kelly and I finally found a place to live next year.  Lake Johnson!  We are so very excited.  We should be getting the keys in April and our townhouse looks out onto the lake.  It is a very nice place and we started our shopping the other day.  The theme of the townhouse is: It's 5 o'clock somewhere.  We got the cutest clock and decorative stuff to hang up.  I'm so excited.
I got accepted to study abroad in Sansepolcro, Italy this summer.  Meredith has a program for Child Development going for three week stay.  Kelly and I will leave the United States July 2nd!  I'm very excited...and the closer it gets, I feel my nerves kicking in, too.  I know that it's going to be the time of my life...and I am so fortunate that I have this amazing opportunity.
I am super happy with the fact I have an amazing boyfriend.  I met Eric back in November randomly through Kelly.  We have talked every day ever since.  He is a sophomore at NC State.  I enjoy spending time with him.  We've had so many good times already...and I just can't believe how lucky I am to have him.  He really is a perfect fit for me.
This semester has been my absolute favorite of college.  Although my classes keep me busy, and I rarely ever have a free moment, I wouldn't change a thing.  I've been selected to be the Assistant Chief Student Advisor for the freshmen for the 2011-2012 school year.  Student Advisors help the incoming freshmen adjust to life at Meredith and I have loved being a student advisor.  The position so far has already taught me so many great things.  It's also given me an opportunity to meet so many awesome people.  I also found out that Kelly, Morgan, and I will be ring week tri-chairs for our junior year.  If you know anything about Meredith College, you know that our junior year we get our ONYX rings.  This is one of those Meredith traditions that you wait for from the moment you see those rings.  Kelly, Morgan, and I came up with a theme for ring week and will help picking out t-shirts, colors, and rings to wear the week that leads up to the big dinner!  I can hardly wait.  With so many great things happening, I have to look up and thank God for all he's done for me.  It is with him and my amazing guardian angels that all these amazing things have happened.

Now that I've typed my life story, I think I'll upload a few pictures and get to sleep.

For every stoplight I didn't make
Every chance I did or I didn't take
All the nights I went too far
All the girls that broke my heart
All the doors that I had to close
All the things I knew but I didn't know
Thank God for all I missed
Cause it led me here to
This
